Neoclassic Fairmount Estate

This majestic 1890 Greek revival home needed a full renovation to retain its period identity yet modernize it for the lifestyle of a growing young family.

We added a new kitchen, mudroom, and porch to accommodate the daily family traffic. The open kitchen, family room and expansive porch were designed to overlook a revitalized rear yard complete with pool and patio. A four-stop elevator takes you up to the master suite, formerly an unfinished attic. New period windows and slate roof preserve the home’s historic authenticity. Beautiful landscaping was the finishing touch that enhanced the home’s period majesty.

Revitalized Basking Ridge Mansion

A large 1980 spec home with minimal character needed updating. Our client wanted to incorporate today’s modern/contemporary aesthetic, an additional three-car garage, and a large master suite into the existing home.

To achieve the desired style and additional elements, we designed a large turret to join the differing roof lines in a central location. We also brought an open feel to the first floor via a double-island kitchen that flows easily to the other entertaining areas, covered patio, and exterior pool deck.

Jersey Shore Reimagined

This basic 1950s ranch sits on a beautiful creek-front property on the Navesink River at the Jersey Shore. Our client wanted to build a full second story over her existing home to accommodate bedrooms above and open living areas below.

We designed a Dutch gambrel red roof line in keeping with the shore style and included open porches at the front and rear. We also included a clear story wall of windows to maximize second-story water views.

Craftsman Style Transformation

A common split-level home with a partial brick veneer was in need of a facelift. Our client desired more space for a grand kitchen and family room, as well as achieving LEED certification to ensure environmentally responsible design.

Both levels were added to, creating a combined kitchen / family room that opens up to the dining room on the half story above. A new story was added to accommodate a master suite with a traditional sleeping porch. The fully finished basement with new garage bay, exercise room and wine cellar completed the home.

Classic Center Hall Colonial

Our clients loved their neighborhood but wanted to differentiate their home from the other spec homes in the immediate area. To accomplish this the house required a full facelift, inside and out.

We connected the front foyer to the basement stairwell, creating a dramatic space that made the finished basement part of the house. We opened the kitchen to the patio, affording private views of the open fire pit and backyard. To enhance curb appeal a front porch with a gable roof was added, complimented by a large wooden front door.
